In late 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly Donald Trump's chief strategist, visited the UK to deliver a address at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The event was interrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, scheduled to travel that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Activists slowed down my talk don't think I can catch the plane we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein replied: "That. Is a gulf air departing at 9:50 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "You are an amazing assistant".

These exchanges were published on Wednesday together with more than 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the late financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the Congressional committee contains an text conversation where Bannon's name is withheld. Media outlets has been able to confirm his involvement by matching the timeline, occurrences, and places referenced.

For example, Epstein discusses arranging a jet from the UK for the redacted user in the chat, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the News Xchange conference on November 14, and delivered the talk at the Oxford on November 16.

Bannon, who faces no allegations of any misconduct, declined to comment on the request for comment.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as the president's closest advisers in the lead-up to the presidential election and in the early days of his first administration, but resigned from the White House in August 2017.

He has admitted he was making a documentary about Epstein before his death and allegedly has approximately 15 hours of footage. In a live taping of his show recently, he stated: "We plan to release the film, the multi-part documentary, in the coming year - early next year."

But the newly released documents suggest Bannon's connection with Epstein went further than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile occasionally seeming to act like a aide.

A short time prior to the exchange in which Epstein seemed to arranged a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid booking agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "You are quite capable asst", to which Epstein responded "Massages. Excluded".

Discussing a visit to "AD" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I'll make sure you are taken care of."

British Affairs Discussed in Exchanges

The published messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein discussing UK politics in 2018.

Earlier on the same day his speech at the Oxford Union, Bannon texted Epstein: "I've gotten pulled into the EU exit thing this day with Nigel, Boris and Mogg."

Then, in what appears to be a allusion to the UK prime minister, the struggling British leader at the period, he continued: "They are attempting to proceed. May soon…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view remaining as much as you can uk. Ideal- so others see the dedication of your follow-up."

Soon after, Epstein inquired: "Can Theresa May remain in power". Bannon replied: "I don't see how BUT the guys here have little courage" and noted "Boris ; Gove; Jacob Rees-Mogg; David Davis - someone has to step up".

Theresa May was finally removed in May 2019 after withstanding two votes of no confidence in December 2018.

A representative for Reform UK informed media: "Nigel Farage has never been in a meeting with Bannon, Jacob Rees Mogg and Boris Johnson." And there is no evidence such a meeting took place.

The US House of Representatives will vote next week on whether the Department of Justice should make public all its records concerning its investigation into Epstein, who passed away in jail in that year.

Attention in Epstein's associations with influential individuals was reignited this week after the release of over 20,000 documents from his archives.

Some of those mentioned Trump, who has consistently rejected any wrongdoing. The leader was a friend of Epstein's for a long time, but claims they parted ways in the early 2000s, two years before Epstein was first arrested.
