I will dominate 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.
Ex twice world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually happening.
